Village of Cullom Board of Trustees met March 28.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Mayor Hahn called the March 28, 2023 Regular Meeting of the Cullom Village Board to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Village Hall.

Members Present: Hahn, Flessner, Mills, Jehle, Krause, Wallrich and Rock

Absent: J. Meister and K. Meister

Also Present: Addison Rock, representing the Tri Point Honor Society and Jr. Class After Prom Party and Tammy Berens

Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag: All present took part in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag

Minutes: Motion to accept, by consent agenda, the February 28, 2023 regular meeting minutes was made by Mills/Jehle - M/C

Motion to accept, by consent agenda, the March 17, 20203 special meeting minutes was made by Rock/Wallrich - M/C

Public: Addison Rock addressed the board requesting donations for the Tri Point Honor Society and the Jr. Class After Prom Party

Maintenance Report:

A seasonal account has been established with Ameren for the electric pole on the west side of Corban's building to control lighting on the north side of Main St. Lovell will contact Ameren when we need electric service for events requiring electricity

Leaks were repaired at 315 W Jeffery St and 108 Birch St

Water service was discussed for 214 W Hack St

Emergency drainage issue at 510 W Jackson

Material Inventory Report is due April 15, 2023 (120 Water)

MFT work for the village was discussed

Attorney Report: Krause/Rock made the motion to pay monthly bills totaling $218,051.62. M/C

Treasurer Report: Krause/Mills made the motion to accept the report as presented. M/C

A Finance Committee meeting to discuss CD's will take place at a future date

Old Business: .

Water Tower - Work is scheduled to begin the first week in April

Water Metering/Project/Billing - There are 3-4 shut offs scheduled for next week Un-sewered Community Grant - Waiting for Response

Property Liens - No report

Farm Property Sale - Waiting for Attorney paperwork

120 Water See Maintenance Report

Abandoned Properties - Possible ordinance proposal that will be discussed at a future meeting

New Business:

South Ash St Extension-Property Purchase - Discussion was held on purchasing approximately .5+/- acres from the Margery Hahn Estate to extend Ash St for access to village owned property. Krause/Rock made the motion to proceed with offering to purchase the property at a rate of $15,000 per acre. All voted in favor

Sheriff Bohm Community Liaison Committee 4th Tues 6 pm - Jehle will attend the meeting Radar Speed Signs - Several residents have expressed concerns about high traffic speeds on Rt 116. Hahn will investigate purchasing radar signs for both ends of the village

Any Other Business

SAM Update Done for another year

ARPA Update - Hahn attended the webinar and the report can be filed in April

NHS 5K Run - May 7th and After Prom Party - April 29th - Krause/Wallrich made the motion to donate $150 to each event
