City of Fairbury City Council met Jan. 21.

1. Call to order – Mayor Slagel called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
2. Mayor Slagel directed the Clerk to call roll and the following members of Council answered present: Gary Norris, Steve Endres, Jon Kinate, Jerry Hoffman, Jim Tipton, Bill Schmidgall.

B. Motion by Endres, second by Hoffman to approve request from Oddfellow Lodge to have
Fairbury’s First Annual Oddfellow Summer Kickoff Carnival at Sunken Park and on Locust St from 4th St – 5th St and 5th St from the tracks from June 9th – June 15th 2026. Motion carried 5-1 YES – Norris Endres Kinate Hoffman Schmidgall NO- Tipton
C. Motion by Kinate, second by Norris to approve updating check signers as Christian Edwards, Connie Haas, Dale Diller and Brett Ashburn for the City of Fairbury Police Department restricted funds and unawarded seized funds accounts with the Bank of Pontiac. D. Consideration of quotes to approve the purchase of camera van for the Wastewater Department – TABLED
