III. Emergency Business:

a) Discuss/Vote – Ordinance 2026-2 Temporarily Waiving Planning Commission Review of the Final Plat of Lexington Industrial Park Consideration and approval of the final Plat for Lexington Industrial Park by the City Council would normally require Planning Commission review prior to City Council consideration and approval. Mayor Johansen discussed difficulties that Farnsworth ran into in getting the final plat prepared. In the meantime, he was notified by the industrial manufacturer planning to build in the new Lexington Industrial Park that they have a client that needs a start date on the building asap. If we don’t move quickly on this, they may move the business out of state. We can’t compete with that. Thus, the urgency in approving this Ordinance in order to consider and approve the final plat in the regular City Council meeting. Motion to approve made by Alderman Franklin and seconded by Alderman Richard. Motion passed unanimously.

IV. Adjourn

Motion to adjourn made by Alderman Mattingly. The ayes have it and the motion passed. Meeting was adjourned at 6:35 pm.
