City of Pontiac City Council met March 25.

Here is the agenda provided by the council;:

The special meeting of the Pontiac City Council was held on March 25, 2025. Mayor Alvey called to order the meeting of the City Council at 5:00 P.M.

The City Clerk was directed to call roll, and the following members of the Council were present: Barr, Giovanini, Lee, Cranford, Howard and Wille.

Absent: Eckhoff, Kallas, Causer and Bradshaw

AGENDA

A. Approval – United Way – Facade Grants

(1) 214 N. Plum Street

Motion by Howard, second by Barr to approve the Facade Grant at 214 N. Plum St. requested by Gary Babb for replacement of damaged wood, masonry and windows. City approved bid of $38,040.00 with the City’s share being $19,020.00. On a roll call vote motion carried 6-0. Aye votes recorded: Barr, Giovanini, Lee, Cranford, Howard and Wille.

(2) 219 W. Washington St.

Motion by Barr, second by Wille to approve the Facade Grant application by Amy Eppel, Eppel Realty for roof area replacement at a cost of $4,670.00 with the City’s portion being $2,335.00. On a roll call vote motion carried 6-0. Aye votes recorded: Barr, Giovanini, Lee, Cranford, Howard and Wille.

B. Ordinance 2025-O-005 – Teamsters Contract

Motion by Wille, second by Lee to approve Ordinance 2025-0-005, approving the Agreement between the City of Pontiac and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local No. 179 as written. On a roll call vote motion carried 6-0. Aye votes recorded: Barr, Giovanini, Lee, Cranford, Howard and Wille.

C. Ordinance 2025 -0-004

Motion by Howard, second by Wille to approve Ordinance 2025-0-004, 2025/2026 City of Pontiac Budget, as written. On a roll call vote motion carried 6-0. Aye votes recorded: Barr, Giovanini, Lee, Cranford, Howard and Wille.

Adjournment

On motion duly made and seconded, the regular meeting of the City Council is adjourned.
