Illinois State University’s Judah Morris and Daniel Pacella have been recognized as College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Second-Team selections. This announcement was made on Tuesday, marking them as the sixth and seventh players in the university’s history to receive this honor, following Jake McCaw’s recognition in 2022.

Judah Morris completed his studies in 2025 with a degree in Exercise Science, achieving a GPA of 3.83. He has previously been selected for the CSC Academic All-District team in both 2024 and 2025. Additionally, he earned spots on the MVC First-Team Scholar Athlete Team in 2025 and Second-Team Scholar Athlete Team in 2024. In his senior season, Morris was named Second-Team All-MVC after being an Honorable Mention All-MVC selection the previous year. His performance included hitting .298/.667/.466 with 16 doubles, 19 home runs, and driving in 50 RBIs. Notably, Morris played every game of the season alongside two other teammates.

Daniel Pacella ended his junior year with a GPA of 3.96 while studying Physical Education. He secured MVC Scholar Athlete First-Team honors for two consecutive years (2024-2025) and received CSC Academic All-District recognition twice during his career. As a consistent performer, Pacella was a First Team All-MVC selection again this season. His statistics for the year were impressive: a .355 batting average, scoring 58 runs with 82 hits including 19 doubles and 20 home runs along with contributing to 59 RBIs. His record-setting achievements placed him among top performers historically within Illinois State baseball.

Morris and Pacella stand out as the only Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) players to be named CSC Academic All-Americans for this year.
