The Illinois State baseball program announced on Mar. 11 its promotional schedule for the upcoming 2026 home games at Duffy Bass Field.
The Redbirds will open their home season on March 14 against Western Illinois, with a series of themed events planned throughout the spring. The schedule includes St. Patrick’s Day festivities on March 17 against SIUE, Decades Weekend from March 20-22 featuring music and activities from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s during games versus Belmont, Stuff the Duff on April 12 against Indiana State, Bark in the Park on April 25 versus Bradley, Reggie’s Kids Club Day on May 2 against Valparaiso, and Senior Day on May 3 also against Valparaiso.
Admission to all games at Duffy Bass Field is free. After every Sunday home game, children will have an opportunity to run the bases. The program noted that all dates, times, and promotional plans are subject to change.
According to the official website, Illinois State Redbirds benefits from the Redbird Athletics Excellence Fund for competitiveness and recruitment. The team is linked to Illinois State University and competes in NCAA Division I events across various regions according to the official website.
