The Illinois State football team is set to begin its 2025 season this weekend, traveling to Norman, Oklahoma, for a matchup against the No. 18 ranked Oklahoma Sooners. Ahead of the opener, head coach Brock Spack will provide insights into the team’s preparations during The Brock Spack Show at Schooners in Bloomington on Thursday evening.

Coach Spack will be joined by play-by-play announcer John Fitzgerald and color analyst Ted Schmitz to discuss the offseason and expectations for facing Oklahoma. Transfer running back Victor Dawson and new running backs coach Mike Grant are scheduled as special guests on this week’s show.

Schooners, located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington, will host the live event starting at 6 p.m. For those unable to attend in person, the program will air on WJBC 1230 AM in the Twin Cities and stream online via GoRedbirds.com and The Varsity Network. Segments of the show will also appear live on the Illinois State Athletics Facebook page.
