This meet marks the last opportunity for the Redbirds to prepare before hosting the 2026 Midwest Independent Conference at CEFCU Arena on March 20. The team enters the weekend ranked 55th nationally, holding an average score of 193.284.
In their previous outing, Illinois State narrowly trailed Western Michigan through two events but ultimately fell short with a score of 193.475 to Western Michigan’s 194.625. Audrey Hiatt tied for first place on beam with a career-high score of 9.800, while Savannah Ray tied for third overall with a score of 9.725. Freshman Mia LeBlanc was named MIC Newcomer of the Week for the fourth time this season after winning her first all-around title and achieving a final score of 38.500.
Pitt is currently ranked 37th nationally and recently scored a season-high on bars and floor during competition at Propst Arena, as reported by the team release. West Virginia holds the No. 47 national ranking and has posted four consecutive team scores above 195 points, including a recent second-place finish behind NC State.
