Illinois State University has announced the schedule for its 2025 soccer season. Head coach Raleigh DeRose, now in her second year, will lead the team through a series of matches that include 11 games at Adelaide Street Field and five Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) contests.
“I am excited about the opportunities the 2025 schedule presents to our team,” said DeRose. “Each unique opponent gives us the platform to challenge ourselves in a highly competitive environment.”
The Redbirds’ preparations begin with a scrimmage on August 6 at Adelaide Street Field, followed by an exhibition match against Southern Indiana on August 9. The official season kicks off on August 14 with a home game against Lindenwood. Northwestern will visit Normal on August 17.
A two-game road trip will take Illinois State to Butler on August 21 and Green Bay on August 23, before returning home to face Western Illinois on August 28. A first-ever meeting with UT-Martin is scheduled for August 31.
In September, IU-Indy visits Adelaide Street Field on September 4, followed by matches against Loyola Chicago and Eastern Illinois. The non-conference schedule concludes with a game at Saint Louis on September 14.
The MVC slate includes home games against Murray State, Southern Illinois, Evansville, UIC, and Drake. Away games feature Valparaiso, UNI, Indiana State, and Belmont.
“Overall, I believe this team…is also looking forward to the opportunities this season holds,” DeRose commented.
The Redbirds aim to build upon their achievements from last year when they made it to the MVC Tournament for the first time since 2021. Key players like Eiley Henderson are expected to play significant roles in this year’s campaign.
