The Illinois State track and field team concluded their participation in the Michael Johnson Invitational held at the Clyde Hart Track and Field Stadium in Waco, Texas, on Friday.

The event saw five Redbird athletes competing across various categories including the women’s and men’s triple jump and the men’s high jump. In the women’s triple jump, Ava Lawless, a sophomore, achieved a jump of 11.54 meters. Among the men’s participants, freshman Astor Snaider led with a leap of 14.46 meters, while fellow freshman Victor Byaundaombe closely followed with a mark of 14.41 meters.

In the men’s high jump, junior Rob Pulliam managed to clear a height of 1.99 meters.

Next on the agenda for the Redbirds is the Fighting Illini Twilight, which will take place in Champaign, Illinois, on April 26. The event is set to start at 1:00 p.m.
