The Illinois Wesleyan University men’s golf team, ranked No. 6 nationally, will begin its spring season at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational in Georgia from March 20 to 22, according to a Mar. 19 announcement. The event will take place at the Pine Lakes Golf Course and feature a strong field of top-ranked NCAA Division III teams.
This tournament is significant as it brings together fifteen of the top-25 nationally ranked teams, including leading programs such as Huntingdon, Emory, Carnegie Mellon, and Washington and Lee. The competitive field provides an opportunity for Illinois Wesleyan Titans Men’s Golf to measure itself against some of the best collegiate teams in the country.
Senior Myles Lahart and sophomore Pablo Castro played the most rounds for Illinois Wesleyan during the fall season, each participating in thirteen rounds. Lahart achieved a scoring average of 73.2 with two top-five finishes and was named College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin’s Golfer of the Week on Sept. 17, 2025. Castro tied the program’s lowest single round relative to par with an eight-under-par score at the NCAA Division III Preview on Sept. 23, 2025, finishing with a fall scoring average of 72.9. Senior Aidan Healy led with a scoring average of 72.5 over eleven rounds and earned two CCIW Golfer of the Week honors.
Seniors Juney Bai and Michael Spitzer will join Healy, Lahart, and Castro in representing Illinois Wesleyan at this weekend’s main tournament event. Freshmen Ryan Andrews and Jared Code along with sophomore Joey Sluzas are set to compete in the Jekyll Island Individual Tournament at Indian Mound Golf Course.
Illinois Wesleyan Titans Men’s Golf competes in NCAA Division III athletics according to the official website.
