Illinois Wesleyan men’s volleyball sweeps Loras for best ranked win in program history

The Illinois Wesleyan University men’s volleyball team defeated Loras College in straight sets on March 25, marking the program’s highest-ranked victory to date. The Titans, ranked No. 20 nationally, swept the No. 10 Duhawks at home and improved their record to 19-4 overall and 6-1 in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play.

Sophomore Ethan Kuziela led with a match-high 14 kills on a .481 hitting percentage and also contributed defensively with seven digs and five blocks. Junior Brenden Reutter reached his career milestone by recording his 1000th assist during the match, becoming only the second Titan to achieve this mark.

Illinois Wesleyan controlled most statistical categories throughout the contest including aces (7-1), kills (39-36), assists (35-32), digs (32-26), and blocks (10.5-2). The team features student-athletes from all undergraduate class years according to its official website.
