The Illinois Wesleyan University softball team achieved its highest ranking of the season, securing the 15th spot in the final National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) poll released on June 10. The Titans accumulated 110 points, moving up five positions.

In 2025, Illinois Wesleyan recorded a 37-9 overall record and set a new program record with a 25-game winning streak. The team claimed both the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin regular season and tournament championships. Additionally, they won a regional in the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament for the first time since 2019.

Eight players from IWU were named All-CCIW, with three receiving NFCA All-Region honors. Jen Kuhn was awarded NFCA First Team All-America status and received the Rawlings Gold Glove Award as a shortstop. Tiffany Prager and her staff were recognized as the CCIW Coaching Staff of the Year and also earned NFCA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year honors.

The NFCA/GoRout Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll is determined by ten NCAA Division III head coaches representing different regions. Final records for 2025 are included in the rankings, along with first-place votes in parentheses.

Trine University topped the poll with all ten first-place votes, followed by Virginia Wesleyan and Linfield in second and third place respectively. Other notable teams include Randolph-Macon at fourth place and Rowan rounding out the top five.

Illinois Wesleyan’s performance this season reflects significant achievements within their conference and nationally, as indicated by their climb in rankings.
