The Illinois Wesleyan University track and field teams finished their competition at the WashU Distance Carnival on March 27, with three Titans achieving personal bests in the 5000-meter event.
This meet is significant for the Illinois Wesleyan Titans Men’s Track and Field program, which competes in intercollegiate athletics as part of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin at the NCAA Division III level, according to the official website. The team operates out of Bloomington, Illinois, and hosts indoor events at the Shirk Center Indoor Track, a facility dedicated to track and field.
Senior Abby Quinn recorded a personal-best time of 18:26.46 in the women’s 5000 meters, finishing in 49th place. In the men’s race, senior Seth Hamerski led his teammates with a time of 15:32.52. Senior Zach Marquardt and sophomore Carson Davis also set career-best marks with times of 15:34.57 and 15:47.11 respectively.

Illinois Wesleyan will continue its season with two meets scheduled for March 28—the Redbird Challenge in Normal, Illinois, and the Big Blue Alumni Invite in Decatur, Illinois.
