Illinois Wesleyan track and field teams prepare for outdoor season in Texas

The Illinois Wesleyan University men’s and women’s track and field teams announced on Mar. 18 that they are preparing to begin the 2026 outdoor season, starting with the TCU Alumni Invite in Fort Worth, Texas, scheduled for March 20-21.

This announcement follows a strong indoor season for both programs. The men’s and women’s teams each finished third at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Indoor Championships, securing a total of ten league championships. Both squads also swept the 4×400 meter relays at the conference event.

Senior Adriana Crabtree was named CCIW Track Athlete of the Meet after winning three events during the indoor championships. Freshman Gwendolyn Boettinger received First Year CCIW Field Athlete of the Meet honors. Four Titans were recognized as U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Indoor All-Americans following top-eight finishes at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships: senior Evan Lowder, juniors Mackenzie Huber and Imani Ogunribido earned first team status, while Crabtree was named to the second team.
