The Illinois Wesleyan University women’s track team has moved up to No. 13 in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) rankings, released on February 10. This comes as both the men’s and women’s teams prepare for away meets this weekend, with some athletes traveling to Allendale, Michigan for the Grand Valley State University Big Meet and others heading to Monmouth, Illinois for the Roger Haynes Invitational.
The women’s team advanced nine spots in the third edition of this season’s USTFCCCA Indoor rankings, becoming the highest-ranked College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) institution in Division III. Elmhurst University is now ranked No. 21.
Senior Adriana Crabtree was named CCIW Track Athlete of the Week for a second consecutive week after setting her second program record in as many meets. At the Keck Select Invitational on February 7, Crabtree broke Illinois Wesleyan’s indoor record in the 3000 meters with a time of 9:42.66, surpassing Erin McCarey’s previous mark from 2016 and setting a new CCIW record.
Crabtree currently holds top-10 national rankings in Division III for both the 3000 meters and mile events. Junior Imani Ogunribido remains first nationally in triple jump after her victory at Keck Select with a season-best leap of 12.53 meters—over a foot and a half farther than any other Division III competitor this season.
Twenty-six Titans set personal bests at Saturday’s Keck Select meet, with eight athletes earning top-three finishes in their events. Senior Matt Lindberg won a jump-off in men’s high jump with a season-best mark of 1.97 meters, ranking him third in CCIW this year. Sophomore Maddie Morgan won the women’s 5000-meter race with a time of 18:59.33.
Live streams and statistics will be available for both upcoming events.
