This matchup marks the first meeting between the Titans and the Falcons. The Titans, who currently hold a record of three wins and four losses, are aiming to end a two-game losing streak. Their most recent game resulted in a 24-5 loss to DePauw University, where sophomore Maddie Gibson led the offense with four points and senior Sadie Newton recorded nine draw controls. Sophomore Marli Brown contributed with four ground balls and achieved a career-high of sixteen saves.
Senior Anelise DiGiovanni leads the team offensively with twenty-nine points, including sixteen assists that rank seventeenth nationally among Division III players. Newton has scored a team-high sixteen goals this season, while sophomore Lillie Keeton follows closely with fourteen goals. Gibson and sophomore Sophie Shore have also made significant contributions in both goals and assists.
Newton leads Illinois Wesleyan in ground balls, caused turnovers, and draw controls, averaging three caused turnovers per game—a statistic that places her twenty-eighth nationally. Senior Sarah Riepe and Brown follow Newton in ground balls collected this season. In goalkeeping duties, Brown has accumulated fifty-five saves over six games, while freshman Allison Vervynck has made twenty-four saves across one hundred fifty minutes played.
