The Illinois Wesleyan University women’s tennis team finished its 2025-26 season with a 4-3 victory against Greenville University on April 8 at Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington. The Titans ended the campaign with a record of 12-6, their highest win total since 1991.

This result is significant for the program as it marks notable progress and highlights the contributions of both experienced players and newcomers. The team participates in intercollegiate athletics as part of NCAA Division III and belongs to the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, according to the official website.

In doubles play, freshmen Adia Douglas and Elana Religioso won at No. 3 doubles, while juniors Amber Ehrlich and Olivia Bell secured another point at No. 1 doubles. In singles matches, Douglas earned a quick win at five singles before Greenville evened the score with victories at two and six singles positions. Sophomore Katie Van Heuklon put Illinois Wesleyan ahead again by winning her match at No. 3 singles, but Greenville tied it up once more before Ehrlich clinched the overall victory for IWU after coming from behind in a super-tiebreaker.

The Titans host home matches at Evergreen Racquet Club and utilize Beadles-Morse Courts as dedicated outdoor facilities, according to the official website. The program operates from Bloomington, Illinois.

Senior Marianna Arias played her final match for Illinois Wesleyan during this contest, concluding her career having contributed to strengthening the program over several seasons. The rest of the squad is expected to return for next year’s competition.
