Inspiration Field at Carol Willis Park will be the venue for the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Softball Tournament, scheduled for May 7-9. Illinois Wesleyan University is set to host the event as the No. 1 seed, with its softball team beginning play at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 7.
The tournament will feature six teams: Illinois Wesleyan, Millikin (No. 2 seed), Augustana (No. 3), North Central (No. 4), Carthage (No. 5), and North Park (No. 6). These teams will compete for the CCIW Tournament Championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament.
A full schedule of games is provided, starting with North Central facing Carthage at noon on Thursday, followed by Augustana versus North Park at 2 p.m., and subsequent matchups throughout Friday and Saturday depending on results from earlier rounds. Live streams and live stats will be available for all games through links provided by the organizers.
Ticket prices are set at $10 per day for adults, $5 per day for seniors, students, and children ages six to fourteen; children five years old or younger can attend free of charge. Current CCIW students can enter free upon presenting a valid institution ID card. Tickets may be purchased in advance online or at the door upon arrival.
The Illinois Wesleyan Titans Women’s Softball team competes in NCAA Division III athletics as part of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin and hosts its home games at Inspiration Field in Bloomington, according to the official website.
The conclusion of this tournament will determine which team secures an automatic berth into this year’s NCAA Division III Softball Tournament.
