Illinois State Representative Jason Bunting met with members of the Illinois School Counselors Association in Springfield this week. During the meeting, Bunting discussed the important role school counselors play in supporting students’ academic achievement, mental health, and planning for their futures.
Bunting expressed appreciation for the conversation with association members and said he valued hearing about both the challenges and successes experienced by schools throughout Illinois.
“School counselors play such an important role in supporting students’ academic success, mental health, and future planning. I appreciated the thoughtful conversation and the opportunity to hear directly about the challenges and successes happening in schools across our state,” Bunting said. “Thank you for all you do for Illinois students!”
Bunting, a Republican, was elected to represent Illinois’ 106th House District in 2023. He succeeded Thomas Bennett as state representative.
