Sophomore pitcher Mallory Holland has been recognized as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season. This announcement was made on Monday, April 21. Holland contributed significantly to Illinois Wesleyan University’s successful week, achieving a 6-0 record.

Holland, who is leading the conference in earned run average, played a crucial role in Illinois Wesleyan University’s victories over Millikin, Wheaton, and Elmhurst from April 15 to 19. She pitched 17.2 innings across five appearances, including two starts. Her performance included a 1.98 earned run average, and she limited opposing batters to a .119 average with six strikeouts. Holland secured a 2-0 record during the week and made a key relief appearance in the team’s win against Wheaton on April 18.

Illinois Wesleyan is set to face North Central College on Wednesday, April 23, in an important conference doubleheader. The games will take place at Inspiration Field, with the first game scheduled to start at 3 p.m.

The list of 2025 CCIW Softball Student-Athletes of the Week includes names from various schools, with Abby Whitehead of Wheaton being the most recent Hitter of the Week and Mallory Holland of Illinois Wesleyan being named Pitcher of the Week as of April 21.
