Illinois Wesleyan University has announced the addition of Monica Jarrett as an assistant coach for its women’s lacrosse team. Head coach Abby Kushina expressed enthusiasm about the new hire, stating, “I am absolutely thrilled for Monica to join the coaching staff.” Kushina emphasized Jarrett’s extensive experience in Division I women’s lacrosse and believes her knowledge will significantly benefit the program.

Jarrett will officially start her role on June 1. She arrives at Illinois Wesleyan following a distinguished playing career at the University of Cincinnati, where she set multiple records, including career goals and points. Her accolades include selections to the All-BIG EAST Second Team and American Athletic Conference First Team.

In addition to her playing achievements, Jarrett has coaching experience with Division I Old Dominion University under head coach Heather Holt and various club teams in Philadelphia and Milwaukee. Most recently, she was a volunteer coach at Dunlap High School while working as an elementary teacher in Dunlap, Illinois.

Originally from Devon, Pennsylvania, Jarrett graduated cum laude from Cincinnati with a degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in instructional design & technology.
