Spending per pupil at Olympia Community Unit School District 16 was up 11 percent from five years ago, according to the McLean County Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.
The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Mclean County school district spent $10,618 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,783 in 2019-20.
The district’s enrollment fell from 1,860 to 1,783 students over the same period.
Olympia’s spending in 2019-20 was 18.7 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
