Report: Heyworth spent $9,916 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Heyworth Community Unit School District 4 is up 2.9 percent from five years ago, according to a McLean County Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Mclean County school district spent $9,641 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,916 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 991 to 937.

Heyworth's spending in 2017-18 was 25.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
