Report: McLean County spent $10,385 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at McLean County Unit School District 5 is up 0.8 percent from five years ago, according to a McLean County Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Mclean County school district spent $10,302 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,385 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 13566 to 13346.

McLean County's spending in 2017-18 was 22.1 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
