Report: LeRoy spent $10,825 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at LeRoy Community Unit School District 2 is up 11.7 percent from five years ago, according to a McLean County Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Mclean County school district spent $9,689 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,825 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 805 to 793.

LeRoy's spending in 2017-18 was 18.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
