Report: Dwight Common spent $8,453 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Dwight Common School District 232 is up 3.2 percent from five years ago, according to a McLean County Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Livingston County school district spent $8,187 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,453 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 602 to 547.

Dwight Common's spending in 2017-18 was 36.6 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
