Illinois State House District 105 issued the following announcement on Oct. 2.
Filing for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for next school year is underway this week, State Representative Dan Brady said.
Brady, whose district includes Illinois State University, Wesleyan University, and Heartland and Lincolnland Community Colleges, said parents and students may go to https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa for more information on how to submit a free application.
“As a dad looking at colleges with my high school senior son I know this type of information can be extremely helpful in the decision making process. Filing is now open, and I encourage all who are interested to check out the website, and to apply early,” Representative Brady said.
Representative Brady said Illinois students and families may also wish to visit the Illinois College 2 Career website: https://www.ilcollege2career.com/, a tool students may use to find Illinois colleges that best fit their educational priorities and career goals within the state.
“No matter what your goals or interests, we have wonderful schools right here in Illinois at which to pursue them…and you can save money by staying in state.” Representative Brady concluded.
