City of Chenoa issued the following announcement on Feb. 25.
The snow is melting, and we are dreaming of Springtime. Well technically we are dreaming of the 3rd&4th of July, but FIRST we are dreaming of Springtime. And with Springtime comes the Community Sale-the sloughing off of the old or unused we’ve kept hidden away all fall and winter, and a chance to collect new items to replace the ones we let go of. Maybe you don’t have anything to sell at all, but you go to sales to have the items speak to you, urging you to breathe new life into them. Or shoot, maybe you just want a chicken.
The opportunities are endless really.
Chenoa Community Sale will be held Saturday, April 11th, 2020
All SELLERS must register with the clerk on the street where items are deposited. At that time, the items are tagged with a lot number. Tagging begins at 6:00 am.
No items will be tagged after 10 am.
All BUYERS must register at Chenoa City Hall. Registration begins at 7:00 am, and a $2 fee will be charged for each buyer’s number. Buyers must pay for their items on Sale Day.
Sale begins: 10:00 am sharp
Item reminders: No items with a title will be accepted
The Chenoa Women’s Club will be selling mouth-watering homemade treats during the sale
The VFW will begin serving a delicious stick-to-your-ribs biscuits and gravy breakfast starting at 6:30 and a lunch to follow
The Chenoa Firemen will be selling juicy, perfectly seasoned Pork-chop sandwiches during the sale
