Aidan Healy, a sophomore at Illinois Wesleyan University, has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Golfer of the Week. The announcement was made on Wednesday, April 17, following his performance at the Illinois College Invitational. This marks Healy's first weekly league award and the seventh for the Titans this season.
Healy secured victory at the IC Invitational with rounds of 69 and 72, finishing three-under par. On the first day, he posted a career-low three-under before maintaining an even score on the second day to lead his team to victory. His overall score of 141 over two days represents a personal best for a 36-hole event, improving by five strokes from his previous record.
The Illinois Wesleyan golf team has received six weekly awards this season with Griffin Pohl, Quinn Clifford, Raj Sethi, Jackson Hulsey, and Bobby Beaubien also earning recognition.
Looking ahead, Illinois Wesleyan will participate in their final tournament of the regular season at the Take Back the Night Challenge in Decatur, Illinois from April 19-20.
