Macy Ludwig, a junior golfer from Illinois Wesleyan University, has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Golfer of the Week. This marks her first recognition this season and the third in her collegiate career. The announcement was made by the league office on Wednesday, April 17.

Ludwig's recent performance at the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling contributed to her receiving this honor. She set multiple individual school records and helped achieve team records during the event held on April 13-14. Ludwig recorded a personal best with a 5-under 67 in the first round, setting an individual school record. Her efforts also led to tying the team school record for an even par score of 288 in round one. Ludwig finished with a two-round total of three-under 141, another school record. Her play included six birdies and two eagles, helping Illinois Wesleyan secure a team title with a historic 36-hole team score of five-over 581.

This accolade continues a streak for Illinois Wesleyan golfers as Emma Thorman and Lexi Onsrud were recognized in previous weeks.

Illinois Wesleyan will compete next at the UW-Whitewater Spring Fling scheduled for April 19-20 at Riverside Golf Course in Janesville, Wisconsin.
