Freshman Tori Brown of the Illinois Wesleyan University women’s track and field team secured a second-place finish in the triple jump at the Firebird Finale held on Friday, March 6, at Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Brown recorded a jump of 11.56 meters, placing her just behind North Central’s Julia Kelly, who achieved a personal-best mark of 11.59 meters. Earlier this season, Brown’s top performance was an 11.69-meter jump at the Friday Night Tri on February 20.

The Illinois Wesleyan Titans Women’s Track and Field program competes at the NCAA Division III level as part of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (official website). The team is affiliated with Illinois Wesleyan University and is based in Bloomington, Illinois (official website). Its roster includes athletes from various communities across Illinois (official website).

Looking ahead, the Titans await the NCAA announcement on Monday, March 9 to determine which athletes will qualify for nationals. The NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships are scheduled for March 13-14 at Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Alabama.
