Residents of Fairbury are invited to visit the Dominy Memorial Library on Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. for an unclaimed property event. The initiative is organized in partnership with the Illinois State Treasurer’s office.

Senators Chris Balkema and Sally Turner, along with Representative Regan Deering and Representative Jason Bunting, are working together to host the I-CASH unclaimed property event. According to organizers, “The Treasurer is holding onto more than $5 billion in unclaimed property. Stop by this free event and see if any of it belongs to you.”

For those unable to attend, additional information can be found through the Treasurer’s office.

Bunting, a Republican, was elected to the Illinois State House in 2023 to represent the state’s 106th House District, replacing previous state representative Thomas Bennett.
