Thank you to Ed & Lindsey Dubrick with the DuChick Ranch, LLC for inviting us out today. The visit included discussions on several important topics. Kira attended in place of another member who was busy making hay.

The discussions covered the Local Food Purchase Assistance (LFPA) program, which is aimed at supporting local food systems. The Good Food Program was also on the agenda, focusing on improving food quality and accessibility.

Additionally, there were talks about Land Use Fees designed to help with Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) budgets. Another significant topic discussed was the Family Farm Preservation Act, which seeks to protect family-owned farms.

These conversations are part of ongoing efforts to address issues relevant to local agriculture and farm sustainability.
