City of Bloomington issued the following announcement on Sept. 13.
Join members of the Aquila Theatre Company for a free participatory master class at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts (BCPA) on Friday, September 28 from 6-7 pm. Members of the Aquila Theatre company will be performing Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein on September 29th at the BCPA.
This class will explore some of the vocal and movement acting techniques used by the actors in rehearsal and performances. This master class is a fast, energetic introduction to acting that involves the whole class. The class will conclude with a question and answer session with the artist.
The Aquila Theatre acting company is comprised of artists with extensive professional expertise. The company members have trained at some of the US and UK’s best drama schools including: The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, The London Academy of Dramatic Arts, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Tisch School of the Arts, Stella Adler Conservatory and the National Shakespeare Conservatory.
The master class is free and open to students attending High School and College. Registration is required and the class will be filled on a first-come first-admitted basis, no registrations will be accepted after noon on Thursday, September 27.
