Report: 13.6% of Heartland Community College students repaying loans are in default

Out of 573 Heartland Community College students repaying loans in 2015, 78 were in default, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

That gives the two-year public school in Normal a default rate of 13.6 percent for that year – 0 percentage points lower than in 2014 and 2.4 points lower than in 2013.

Heartland Community College had 1 fewer student in default in 2015 than in 2014 and 20 fewer than in 2013.
