Bloomington home prices fall in the first quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2018 in Bloomington fell by $2,325 while total sales decreased by 14.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2018, there were 216 homes sold, with a median sale price of $147,750 - a 1.5% decrease over the $150,075 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 252 homes sold in Bloomington in the first quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Bloomington for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,768.90, approximately 2.6% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2018.
