City of Fairbury issued the following announcement on April 12.
The City of Fairbury is accepting applications for the Street Department. This is a full-time position that offers benefits that include health, dental and vision. The City also contributes to a retirement plan through I.M.R.F. The position is for 40 hours per week with the opportunity for overtime. Regular work hours are Monday thru Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The City observes 9 paid holidays and offers vacation and sick leave. Requirements include residency within City of Fairbury limits (within 1 year from date of hire) and a valid Illinois Class “B” CDL license or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. Opportunities are available for pay increases at 3 months, one year from hire as well as annual performance-based raises.
