City of Fairbury issued the following announcement on May 29.
The City of Fairbury regrets to announce the temporary suspension of our K-9 program. When our handler was hired by the Livingston County Sheriff's Dept and with already low staffing levels, we determined the best path forward for our community was to sell the dog and squad to the county.
