McLean County Executive Committee met April 3.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Members Present: Chairman McIntyre, Members Jim Soeldner, George Gordon, William Caisley, Chuck Erickson, Susan Schafer, Laurie Wollrab, Catherine Metsker

Members Absent: Member Scott Murphy

Other Members Present: Members Shayna Watchinski, Logan Smith, Jacob Beard, Randall Martin

Staff Present: Mr. Bill Wasson, County Administrator and Julie Morlock Recording Secretary

Department Heads/Elected Officials Present: None

Others Present: None

Chairman McIntyre called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and declared a quorum.

Chairman McIntyre indicated there were no minutes to approve and no members of the public for appearance. Chairman McIntyre stated they were there to continue with interviews for the County Administrator position. He briefly went over the process again and then invited Ms. Woods to speak. Ms. Woods indicated she had provided everyone with a copy of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Guidelines for interviewing and asked if anyone had any questions. Hearing no questions, Chairman McIntyre thanked her for attending.

Chairman McIntyre then asked for a motion to go into Closed Session pursuant to section 2 (c)(1) of the Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)) to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity.

Motion by Schafer/Caisley to go into Closed Session pursuant to section 2 (c)(1) of the Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)) to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity.

Motion Carried.

Executive Committee entered closed session at 5:33 p.m.

Executive Committee returned to open session at 7:20 p.m.

Chairman McIntyre indicated there were no bills or transfers to approve. He thanked everyone and reminded them that the next candidate interview would be on Friday at 5:30 with the same process as this evening.

Chairman McIntyre asked if there was anything further to come before the Committee; hearing nothing he adjourned the meeting at 7:22 p.m.
