The data shows that 28 men and three women were released in Bloomington. Of the parolees, two are veterans, and the median age is 34. The youngest parolee is a 21-year-old man sentenced for property crimes in 2017, and the oldest is a 62-year-old man sentenced for crimes involving drugs in 2015.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest is Wesley M. Radford Jr. He was convicted of crimes against a person in 2007 when he was 28 years old. He is now 40.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
