City of Chenoa issued the following announcement on June 26.
We will be placing flags along 24 on the evening of June 29th in anticipation of the festivities ahead, with the Road Rally kicking off on Sunday, June 30th. That being said, we realize that is 5 days before July 4th, and want our town and flags to be displayed with pride, and we have decided to only place 60% of the flags that evening.
We will be removing the flags on the morning of July 2nd, so the city can trim up along the road prior to the 3rd&4th celebrations, and thus allowing for residents to mow again if needed, and the to town to look its very finest. The entirety of the flags will then be put in place the evening of July 2nd, and will remain in place until July 5th. If you notice any flags leaning or touching the ground, please have respect and reverence for our country and fix them if you are able.
