Lexington home prices rise in the second quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2019 in Lexington rose by $119,000 while total sales decreased by 36.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2019, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $209,000 - a 132.2% increase over the $90,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 11 homes sold in Lexington in the second quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Lexington for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,698, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2019.
