Village of Cullom Village Board met Nov. 26.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Mayor Hahn called the November 26, 2019 Regular Meeting of the Cullom Village Board to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Cullom Village Hall.

Members Present: Hahn, Flessner, Mills, J. Meister, Rock and Krause

Absent: Wallrich, K. Meister and Whitman

Also Present: Lovell, Attorney Gabor and Elise Bruner

Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag: All present took part in the Pledge Allegiance to the Flag

Minutes: Motion to accept the minutes by consent agenda for the October regular meeting (October 22) was made by Meister/Krause. M/C. Motion to accept the November special meeting (November 6) was made by Mills/Krause. M/C.

Public: Elise Bruner, representing the Tri Point Prom Committee addressed the board regarding a donation to the Post Prom Party. After discussion, Meister/Rock made the motion to donate $100. All voted in favor and M/C

Maintenance Report:

• The cracks in the pavement on Main Street have been sealed. 

• Christmas decorations have been put on Main Street

• A utility pole has been replaced on Main Street

• Water sample report on copper analysis was given. A motion by Krause/Rock to ask Piggush for help was approved

• Village truck replacement was briefly discussed

Attorney Report: Reported on on-going Litigations

Clerk Report: Krause/Rock made the motion to pay village bills totaling $18,693.84. All voted in favor M/C. Krause/Meister made the motion to pay the remaining amount on the Casey's credit card, cancel the card and to apply for a Vermilion Valley Bank debit card with money to come from the General Fund. All voted in favor and M/C

Treasurer Report: Motion made by Krause/Mills to accept the Monthly report. All voted in favor and M/C.

Old Business:

• Phase 1 of Water Metering - Ordinance information will be given to Gabor to write a village ordinance 

• Water Tower – Information has been sent to Piggush Engineering 

• Piggush also reported on MFT funding for possible projects in the near future

New Business

• Annual Levy Ordinance - Motion to accept the Annual Levy Ordinance presented by Attorney Gabor was made by Mills/Rock. All voted in favor and ordinance was signed by the Village President and Village Clerk 

• A discussion was held on the vacation of an alley on Van Alstyne Street. It was determined that this has already been completed

Any Other Business

• Christmas on Main Street will be held on December 14, 2019 

• The next regular meeting of the Village Board will take place on Thursday, December 19, 2019 due to the Holiday Season 

• There will be no office hours at the village office during the month of December 

• Hahn reported on a notice she received inviting her to a meeting on December 10 concerning the community and local churches

Meeting adjourned at 8:00 pm
