Illinois State House District 105 issued the following announcement on March 16.
Rep. Brady today met with local restaurant and bar owners along with Bloomington Mayor Tari Renner and Normal Mayor Chris Koos in the wake of the Governor’s announcement that bars and restaurants statewide would be required to close in response to the coronavirus. Rep. Brady stressed that working out a plan to help small businesses and their employees weather this storm will be a top priority in the coming weeks. Some ideas being discussed include instituting a sales tax holiday and strengthening unemployment security stability assurances for workers.
