Illinois State House District 105 issued the following announcement on April 10.
State Representative Dan Brady (R-Normal) on Tuesday, April 14, will host a public conference call outlining vital information to help local small businesses and workers impacted by the coronavirus crisis navigate unemployment procedures and programs available to help.
“The vast majority of calls coming into my office recently are from local workers and families who need help navigating the process for applying for unemployment benefits with the Department of Employment Security. We will go over the process and answer questions on our Tuesday call,” Rep. Brady said. “We will also go over state and federal programs available to help small businesses get through this difficult time.”
Rep. Brady’s conference call will begin at 6:00pm on Tuesday, April 14. Others joining Rep. Brady on the call to help offer guidance and answer questions include Charlie Moore from the McLean County Chamber of Commerce, representatives of the banking industry dealing with small business loans, and staff knowledgeable in the process of applying for unemployment benefits. All others wishing to participate should call-in to 888-494-4032, access code 7156374295.
“We can have up to 500 people participating at one time. With such a large group it would obviously be a bit chaotic to take live questions on the call, so I am asking everyone with specific questions to please email them to me at dan@rep-danbrady.com and we will address them for all listening. I hope everyone who needs help with assistance programs, or needs more information will join us on the call Tuesday evening,” Rep. Brady said.
