Illinois State University is accepting submissions for COVID-19 related history.
The Dr. Jo Ann Rayfield Archives is taking numerous steps to store records of the coronavirus' daily impact on ISU students and the community. The archives are there to document ISU events and daily campus life. These records include but are not limited to historical photographs, documented letters, and journal entries that are related to the university.
University archivist April Anderson-Zorn hopes the Rayfield Archives can provide future information on the coronavirus impact.
“When our future researchers ask for resources on COVID-19 pandemic, the Rayfield Archives will hopefully be able to provide first-hand accounts of Redbird resilience,” Zorn told Vidette Online. “Through digital diaries, podcasts, and, of course, social media, we can document how we coped and adapted to a life-altering situation that isn’t just playing out in our community but on the world stage.”
