CITY OF LEXINGTON: Free Senior Care Bags!!

Adult

City of Lexington issued the following announcement on Sept. 4.

We are all experiencing stress, uncertainty and loneliness during this isolation. Our Lexington Public Library staff has been busy putting together 30 Senior Care bags, to

help our seniors cope with our current situation. These bags are free of charge and include, a book, a magazine, a plant kit, games, puzzles, adult coloring pages, colored pencils, snacks, a kit to make two greeting cards and more! There will be a bag for ladies and one for gentlemen. We want to show our Seniors that we care about their well-being and that we are trying to provide them with some worthwhile entertainment.

If you know of someone who would benefit from one of these bags, either stop by the library to pick one up or call us at 365-7801 and we will deliver the bag to any in-town address.

Our library is happy to provide contactless delivery of books, audiobooks, cd’s, movies and magazines. We also loan out a portable cd player. Just call us and tell us what you’re looking for; your favorite title, genre, or favorite authors and we will pick things out that you will enjoy.
