Fire Department Grants

Fire Chief Campbell explained to Committee that the time to apply for the same grant that was just received to pay for the air apparatus is approaching and discussion on if received, using the funds to purchase an ambulance and (2) cardiac monitors. This will enhance the EMS program within the fire department and provide a back up medical response for the City and surrounding areas. Chief Campbell stressed that this medical response would back up what is already in place.

Chief Campbell then informed Committee that the Departments Ladder Truck is going to have to be replaced. The cost for repairs, which is happening more often because of the age of the truck, were becoming costly.
