The first quarter of 2021: Home prices in Wilmington increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2021 in Wilmington rose by $4,500 while total sales increased by 58.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2021, there were 27 homes sold, with a median sale price of $174,500 - a 2.6% increase over the $170,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 17 homes sold in Wilmington in the first quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Wilmington for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,462, approximately 2% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2021.
